Creating an NDSU legacy

NDSU legacy creator Julie Opp Burgum '75, '02 found her career path and made many lifelong relationships during her time at NDSU. When she became an NDSU Foundation Trustee, she began to see how philanthropic support from alumni and friends helps move the University forward for the benefit of students across North Dakota. It inspired her to name the NDSU Foundation as a beneficiary of her estate.

"I want to make sure NDSU can move forward in the wonderful things it does — the research and the good education it provides for students from North Dakota and all around the country," Julie said. "It's important to give back to something that supported you and helped give you a good direction in life."

When you designate a gift to your passion area, the NDSU Foundation will ensure your funds are managed wisely so students will experience the impact of your generosity for generations to come. Learn how to make your impact on the future of NDSU on the NDSU Foundation's planned giving webpage.
